Description

The Ultipulse UP3235 is a state-of-the-art OTDR designed for testing single-mode optical fibers at 1310 nm and 1550 nm wavelengths. It’s engineered to deliver precise and reliable measurements while remaining intuitive and easy to use. With its Polish-language interface and a large, responsive 7” TFT touchscreen, the UP3230 offers a user-friendly experience that’s perfect for both seasoned professionals and beginners in fiber optics.

Thanks to its fully automatic mode, users can simply initiate a test and let the device handle the rest. It automatically selects the optimal parameters and provides a pass/fail assessment based on predefined transmission thresholds. This ensures faster workflows and more consistent results across all measurements.

One of the standout features of the UP3230 is its ability to generate PDF reports directly on the device, immediately after each test – with no need for external PC software. This functionality is invaluable for field technicians who need to deliver documentation on the spot.

The device also features a graphical event map, which visually represents the fiber link and any detected events such as splices, breaks, or reflections. This mode complements the traditional OTDR trace view and greatly simplifies troubleshooting and documentation.

Additional key features include:

  • A 10mW Visual Fault Locator (VFL) for quick identification of fiber breaks, bends, or poor splices.

  • A built-in optical power meter and light source, with simultaneous use supported. These tools allow for versatile testing modes: either measuring signal loss from a remote source or performing insertion loss testing using the internal light source and power meter combination.

  • Ethernet diagnostic tools, including cable tracing, wire map testing, cable length verification, subnet scanning, ping tests, PPPoE connection testing, and link speed diagnostics. These features are especially useful for technicians working in FTTx and data network environments.

  • Optional fiber inspection microscope, allowing for direct ferrule end-face inspection.

With its rugged housing, compact form factor, and drop-resistant design, the UP3230 is built to withstand the challenges of fieldwork while maintaining high measurement accuracy.

Included in the package:

  • Power charger

  • USB flash drive with built-in software

  • Remote ID adapter

  • Cable tracer probe

  • SC/UPC adapter

  • Durable fabric carrying bag

Whether you’re testing newly deployed fibers or maintaining existing networks, the Ultipulse UP3230 offers everything you need in one powerful, portable device.
