Description

The Ultipulse UP3221 is a multimode and single-mode OTDR designed for testing fiber optic links at 850, 1300, 1310, and 1550 nm wavelengths. It’s the perfect choice for LANs, data centers, in-building installations, and other short to mid-range fiber applications requiring precision and efficiency.

Despite its compact size, the UP3221 offers broad testing capabilities and excellent usability. Its intuitive Polish-language interface combined with a responsive 7” TFT touchscreen ensures a smooth and simple experience for both experienced technicians and beginners.

In automatic mode, the UP3221 intelligently selects test parameters and provides a pass/fail assessment, helping streamline diagnostics and reduce setup time. The ability to generate PDF reports directly on the device makes it easy to document results in real-time without needing a computer.

For enhanced clarity, the UP3221 displays measurements as both traditional OTDR traces and graphical event maps, clearly highlighting splices, breaks, connectors, and other anomalies along the fiber.

Key features include:

  • A 10mW Visual Fault Locator (VFL) for fast identification of breaks, bends, or poor splices.

  • Built-in optical power meter and light source, usable simultaneously, enabling both insertion loss measurements and remote signal testing.

  • Ethernet test functions, including cable tracing, wire map, length verification, subnet scanning, PING, PPPoE login, and link speed analysis – ideal for integration with network diagnostics.
